HDAC Substrates

All HDAC substrates mentioned below are ideal for the study of enzyme kinetics, and the screening of small molecule inhibitors of HDAC for drug discovery and HTS applications.

These unique fluorogenic substrates in combination with specific developers eliminate the use of radioactivity, extraction steps and chromatography aspects of traditional experiments.

Fluorogenic HDAC acetylated peptide Substrate 1

Based on residues 379-382 of p53 (Arg-His-Lys-Lys(Ac), a site of regulatory acetylation by the p300 and CBP acetyltransferases (lysines 381, 382)1-3, the fluorogenic HDAC Substrate 1 (Cat nr 50038) is a suitable substrate for HDAC2, HDAC3, and HDAC6 tested so far. This substrate should be used in conjunction with the HDAC Developer (Cat nr 50030).

Fluorogenic Deacetylated Substrate Standard

This  fluorogenic peptide substrate standard allows to determine the enzyme specific activity and optimize the assay condition. This substrate standard is used in conjunction with HDAC substrate 3 (Cat nr 50037).
